PE and Sports Premium

What is the PE and Sport Premium?

The PE and Sport Premium is additional funding provided to primary schools to make sustainable improvements to the quality of PE, sport and physical activity available to pupils.

At Gamesley Primary and Nursery School, we use this funding to support children to be active and healthy, increase opportunities to participate in PE and sport and improve the quality of our provision.

Our priorities include:

1. Promoting active and healthy lifestyles and the links between physical and mental wellbeing.
2. Ensuring children have access to a range of sporting and physical activities.
3. Developing opportunities for physical activity within the school environment.
4. Supporting pupils to develop swimming and water safety skills.
5. Signposting pupils to local sporting opportunities to encourage participation outside school.

Please see our PE and Sport Premium documents below for details of our funding, how it is being spent and the impact of this expenditure.
