Gamesley Early Excellence Centre* (Nursery) Admissions
We offer 15 hours free Nursery places for all children from the term after their third birthday and some children are entitled to 30 hours Nursery education in some circumstance. Free places are also available for children in the term following their second birthday in some situations.
Families are also welcome to pay for additional hours in our Nursery provision. The charge is £5 per hour for day care and £6 per hour for lunch time. This equals £18 per session as the children pay 3 hours (£15) for the session plus £3 to stay for the lunch half an hour.
Our 15 hour funded Nursery Catkins (2 year olds) attend the afternoon session. This runs from 12.20pm-3.20pm. Our 15 hour funded Nursery Conkers (those children due to start school the following September) attend the morning session. This runs from 8.45am-11.45am. Children who are entitled to a 30 hour funded code attend from 8.45am-3.20pm Monday to Thursday and until 12.45pm on Friday. Families are welcome to pay £12.50 per week for their child to stay until 3.20pm on a Friday.
All children aged three and over can access our school wrap around care provision which runs from 7.30am to 6.00pm in term time. The charge is –
7.30am start – £5 – incudes breakfast
8.15am start – £2 – no breakfast
4pm finish – £3 – no snack
5pm finish – £5 – with snack
6pm finish – £7 – with snack
School meals are charged at £3.25 per child but we always check eligibility on enrolment and children entitled will receive a FSM if they stay a full day. Alternatively you can provide a packed lunch.
We do not charge for snack. We expect parents to provide nappies and wipes but do not charge in the event our own supply is needed.
The Nursery Conkers attend a trip once per term, payment is voluntary but the trip only goes ahead if we have enough payments from the parents to cover the trip.

Reception Admissions
For Reception admissions we follow the co-ordinated admissions process managed by Derbyshire County Council. You can apply for a place from November (every year).The school is then notified in April of pupils allocated a place for the following September. Please do not hesitate to contact the school office if you have any further questions.
