Welcome to Gamesley Primary School
Gamesley Primary School and Nursery prides itself on being a happy and welcoming place to learn. Children can join our Nursery in the term after their second birthday and we also offer term-time wrap around care from 7.30 in the morning until 6.00m at night for all children after their third birthday.
Both the school and nursery are graded “good” and their Ofsted reports describe the purposeful working atmosphere throughout the school and the pupils’ good behaviour, lovely manners and care for one another. Our pupils are aspirational and want to achieve. Our staff are caring and supportive and we work tirelessly to enable every child to do their best and achieve their full potential.
Our curriculum is ambitious and challenging and our children love to learn from the moment they join us. We are also committed to extending learning beyond the academic and ensure that music, sport and art all have a high profile. We also enrich the curriculum through inspiring trips. experiences and after-school clubs in every year group.
Children’s emotional wellbeing and happiness is at the heart of everything we do and we pride ourselves on working closely with our families to achieve this. The school team includes a Pastoral Manager and an Emotional Support assistant, and they along with our school dog, Joey, make sure every child feels safe and cared for.
We are very lucky to have a spacious school building and extensive grounds with lots of play equipment. Our huge school field gives the children (and the school chickens) plenty of space to run around and have fun together.
Over the summer break, our Early Years Department underwent a major refurbishment programme creating a beautifully calm and spacious learning environment for our Nursery and Reception children.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Just give us a call on 01457 853721 and one of our team will be happy to show you round and chat to you about the great opportunities we can offer you and your children.
Kind regards,
Deborah Meredith
